What even is tallow?
Tallow is rendered fat; ours is from beef. Its utilization in beauty is praised not only because of its nourishing and restoring properties like antioxidants and essential fatty acids, or the abundance in vitamins A, D, E, and K, but also because of the environmentalism behind it all: beef fat is often discarded by butchers and cooks, so in utilizing tallow we reduce that waste, and also facilitate our water systems by replacing chemicals that commercial products leave for our water systems with wholesome byproducts of animal fat. Using tallow in skincare is a centuries-old strategy, which is why we are able to harness the confidence of generations and generations in tallow beauty care.

Our Story
Originating in Cedar City, Utah, our story starts in the midst of the pandemic when the owner, recently retired from a career in nursing, wanted to create with her hands as she saw a hole in the modern beauty care system, and was inspired by the pronounced value in wholesome care for our bodies. She started with just body soap, and once she mastered recipes for her own family and the markets opened up again, she brought the product to the public and was thrilled with the response! Since then, the product line has expanded and the mission has strengthened tenfold as we've been blessed with countless stories of people restoring their hair structure definition, wives finding the missing piece to their husbands' cracked hands, eczema patients finding relief in non-medicated care, amongst many other encouraging testimonies. We've excitedly expanded outside Cedar City with hopes to stretch across states and then some! We thank God for blessing this hobby, business, and service, and of course our loyal supporters as well. Can I use tallow body butter on my face?
Yes! The wholesome quality of our products makes it safe for any exterior application in most cases. This may vary if you have a skin condition or an allergy for example. But there is no inherent reason why tallow should not be on your face! In fact, we also offer lip balm for that specific application!
What are my options for placing an order?
Saturday vendor markets. Usually the market in Cedar City, UT + the Tuacahn market in Ivins, UT. Look out for blog posts on our website should that change, or send us an email to confirm before you visit!

What type of hair can the shampoo bar be used on?
There is no hair type that we wouldn't recommend tallow products for. For maximum results, using our tallow shampoo bar on thin/fine hair has been most beneficial. We have also had folks with curly hair use our hair products to restore and define their curl structure. However, using our shampoo bars on curly, straight, or thick hair are common applications as well!
My tallow body butter has softened/melted. Are they still okay to use?
Yes, using tallow products for their intended use is still safe if they have softened or melted. This is a normal occurrence especially in summer shipping; to combat this we do ship in insulated packages during the summer months, but this is no guarantee to a totally firm product upon arrival. To firm any of our products back up, pop them in the fridge right-side up for a minimum of 30 minutes. This will not affect the safety or results of your tallow.
